How to Stream an iPad’s Screen to a TV with Apple TV: 5 Steps

With an Apple TV you can send movies and music direct to your HD TV from your iPad with AirPlay, but you can also mirror the iPad’s screen on your TV using a similar method. Here’s how to send your iPad’s screen to your TV.
STEPS

TURN ON YOUR TV AND APPLE TV AND MAKE SURE THAT THE APPLE TV INTERFACE IS SHOWN ON THE TV SCREEN.
_ 2FROM YOUR IPAD’S HOME SCREEN, PRESS THE HOME BUTTON TWICE TO REVEAL THE APPS CURRENTLY RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND.

SWIPE A FINGER ACROSS THE APPS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT TO REVEAL THE PLAYBACK, VOLUME AND BRIGHTNESS CONTROLS. Now tap the AirPlay_ button.
_ 4TAP ON YOUR APPLE TV ON THE MENU THAT APPEARS AND TAP THE SWITCH NEXT TO MIRRORING_ TO SET IT TO ON.

Make sure your Apple TV and iPad are connected to the same wireless network before attempting a connection.

There may be a slight delay when using AirPlay mirroring to your TV with music apps like GarageBand and some games.
