How to Send a Text Message on an Android: 5 Steps (with Pictures)

You've got some serious texting to do, so how do you do it on your Droid? Fortunately, there is a way. It may be counter-intuitive to people who are used to sending text messages on older phones, but that's okay: that's what how-to guides are for.
STEPS

PRESS THE TEXT ICON ON YOUR HOME SCREEN TO GET STARTED. If you can't find it on any of your home screens, don't despair: you can still find the Messages icon in your Application Launcher.

PRESS THE PLUS SIGN AT THE TOP OF YOUR MESSAGES LIST.

SELECT A PERSON TO MESSAGE FROM THE LIST, OR ELSE START TYPING IN THEIR NAME FOR MORE OPTIONS.

CLICK ON THE "COMPOSE MESSAGE" SECTION AND TYPE IN A MESSAGE.
