How to Edit and Crop Photos on iPhone, iPod, and iPad: 8 Steps

On an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad you can edit images within your Photos app directly on your device using a number of easy to use, basic editing features. This article will teach you how to edit and crop photos on these devices.
STEPS

TAP THE PHOTOS APP ICON FROM YOUR DEVICE’S SPRING BOARD TO ACCESS YOUR CAMERA ROLL.

NAVIGATE TO THE IMAGE YOU WANT TO CROP.

TAP THE PHOTO TO REVEAL ONSCREEN CONTROLS IF THEY AREN’T ALREADY PRESENT.

TAP THE “” BUTTON IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER.

TAP THE CROP ICON IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER OF THE SCREEN..
Optionally, tap the “Constrain” button to select the image size before you begin cropping.


On iOS 7, the button will say "Aspect" instead.

PINCH WITH TWO FINGERS TO ZOOM IN AND OUT AND EFFECTIVELY CROP AND SCALE THE PHOTO DYNAMICALLY. You can also move the entire image freely by tapping and dragging it with one finger.

PRESS THE YELLOW “CROP” BUTTON IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER TO CROP THE IMAGE.

TAP THE YELLOW “SAVE” BUTTON IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER TO SAVE YOUR S.
