How to Update an Android App: 5 Steps (with Pictures)

Android apps periodically get updates that fix errors and add new features. You can get these updates from the Play Store app.
STEPS

1
OPEN THE PLAY STORE APP FROM THE HOME SCREEN. Click on the "apps" section over on the left.

2
HIT THE MENU BUTTON ONCE YOU\'RE IN THE APPS SECTION. Click on "My apps" from the menu options.

3
SELECT AN APP TO UPDATE FROM THE "MANUAL UPDATES" SECTION AT THE TOP. The app will have "Update" in green next to its name.

4
CLICK ON THE "UPDATE" BUTTON TO BEGIN THE UPDATE PROCESS. You can also see how the app has been improved under the "What's new" section.

5
HIT "ACCEPT AND DOWNLOAD" TO BEGIN INSTALLING THE NEW UPDATE OVER THE LAST VERSION OF THE APP.
TIPS
Make sure you check the update section often, since some apps have to be updated manually and can have some really useful extra features after update.
WARNINGS
It's a bad sign if an app doesn't give periodic updates- it means that the app may eventually become out of date and unusable.
