How to Fix an iPhone or iPod Touch Losing WiFi Settings: 7 Steps

Frustrated with your iPhone or iPod Touch dropping its wireless Internet connection intermittently because it can't remember which network is the default network? If you are at home and you have a wireless port, your device _should_ be connected to that at all times, but it may not remember your home access point if its SSID is hidden. Your device may forget its settings when you connect to other access points, especially those that have their SSIDs broadcasted. Read on to find out about a quick workaround to this problem.
STEPS

1
OPEN THE SETTINGS APP.

2
TAP ON WI-FI, THEN TAP ON OTHER. It will be shown underneath other wireless networks picked up by your device.

3
TYPE IN THE ACTUAL SSID FOR YOUR WIRELESS CONNECTION -- WHATEVER YOUR HOME OR DEFAULT WIRELESS NETWORK IS CALLED.

4
CHOOSE A SECURITY MODE. WEP would do even if you configured your access point for other security methods.

5
WHEN IT ASKS FOR A PASSWORD, YOU CAN TYPE IN A SERIES OF RANDOM LETTERS AND NUMBERS. If you have the actual password handy, you can type that in as well.

6
TAP ON THE JOIN BUTTON. You'll probably get an error message that the password is incorrect, but by virtue of reminding your device of that particular SSID, it will still connect to that access point despite the incorrect login details.

7
THE DEVICE WILL TRY TO CONNECT TO THE SSID LISTED AND BE REMINDED OF THE PREVIOUS CONNECTION SETTINGS.
